River Mountains Loop Trail – Trailheads
Trailheads are the starting points or “official” access points to the River Mountains Loop Trail. The trail is intended solely for walking, biking and in some places horseback riding. The RMLT trailheads vary from primitive to full facilities.
Access Points
With multiple access points across a wide area, trailheads are listed on three pages based on their location. There are pages for Boulder City, Henderson and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. There you will find more information on the trailheads and maps of each.

Historic Railroad Trail
The Historic Railroad Trail was built during the construction of Hoover Dam. There are five tunnels and lots of scenic beauty along the way. It is a spur that connects to the River Mountains Loop Trail near the Alan Bible Visitor Center at the entrance to the Lake Mead National Recreation Area between Boulder City and Hoover Dam.
