Silverman Aid Station #10 – RMLT sponsors

Less than two weeks Silverman Triathlon event on Nov. 9th.  We are busy planning and recruiting volunteers to man the aid station. This will be the fourth year the RMLT has sponored this aid station. Aid Station #10 is the last aid station on the bike course, we are located at 101-miles out of the total 112 mile race.  We play a critical role is serving the racers, refreshing them, and seeing to their continued safety. Our aid station site is at the corner of Old Vegas Trail and Paradise Hills Parkway, also known as Foothills Drive.

We encourage anyone interested in supporting the racers to stop by and cheer them on.  In this race a finish is a victory to most of the racers.

Aid station #10 will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on race day.

Wow what a day….As if the event terrain wasn’t enough of a test…mother nature decided to throw in lots of wind, rain, lighting, and of course some sunshine. We had 25+ volunteers at the aid station through out the day. Once the riders started coming through about 11:00 a.m. we were busy for four hours, then it slowed. last rider passed through about 4:30P.M.
We had a great day…riders were very appreciative of our efforts as we yelled and shouted them thru to the finish. As soon as I get some pictures in I’ll update the BLog. 🙂

They're doing water main construction. I live near there and was notified about the project.

Probably dropping construction materials to one of those mega mansions in the hill

Looks like a recovery or a rescue. Its been happening for a couple of hours.
