4th Annual Nevada Silverman Triathlon on Sunday, November 9, 2008

 Note from me: Silverman Triathlon runs a 9-mile portion of the 112-mile road race on the River Mountains Loop Trail. Three hills in this section have become known as the “Three Sisters” with grades approaching 15%.  See Frank Lowery’s news release about the 2008 race date below.

The Nevada Silverman Triathlon Opens Registration for 2008 Rac
HENDERSON, Nev. – November 15, 2007 – Frank Lowery, of Lowery’s Multisport Races announced today the City of Henderson and Christensen International Law will host the 4th annual Nevada Silverman Triathlon on Sunday, November 9, 2008. Registration for the full and half triathlons is now open. 
Featuring a 2.4 mile swim in Lake Mead, a 112 mile bike ride and a 26.2 mile run that boasts a 2,000 foot elevation gain, the Silverman Triathlon is gaining attention across the globe. With more than 500 participants in the 2007 race, numbers are expected to almost double in 2008. “We are very excited to announce that the Nevada Silverman Triathlon will continue in 2008,” said Lowery. “Our registration for the 2008 race is up and running, we are excited to see the caliber of athletes that we are sure to attract next year.”About the Nevada Silverman Triathlon:
The Silverman Triathlon is a full-distance triathlon held in Henderson, Nevada. Branded as the toughest course in North America by “The Man” himself, Dave Scott, and echoed by the finishers from 2005 and 2006, the Nevada Silverman is sure to attract individuals and relay teams from around the world in 2007.

They're doing water main construction. I live near there and was notified about the project.

Probably dropping construction materials to one of those mega mansions in the hill

Looks like a recovery or a rescue. Its been happening for a couple of hours.
