Access Point - River Mountains Loop Trail

River Mountain Hiking Trailhead – Near St Jude’s  - - Access Point

Parking, information kiosk, trash cans are located at the River Mountain Hiking Trailhead.  The trailhead and access point are located inside the City of Boulder City.  The trailhead is just west of the St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.  Look for street signs to find this parking area.

This parking lot serves two trails.  The River Mountains Loop trail is located in the cement flood control structure to the south (walk towards Highway 93).  The River Mountain Hiking Trail goes to the north (walk towards the hills).  The River Mountain Hiking Trail runs north for 5.5 miles between the Red Mountain and Black Mountain.  The trail was built in the early 1950’s by the Civilian Conservation Corps and is maintained by the boulder City Parks and Recreation Department.

No rest rooms, no water is located here.
