They are not to be disturbed even if they are on the trail and block your way.

The River Mountains are a non-motorized use area.  The River Mountains Loop Trail is a non-motorized trail.   
No ATVs, no OHVs, no motorcycles, no dirt bikes.

Trailheads k Trail Access Points

The River Mountains Loop (RML) Trail trailheads are the starting point or "official" access point to the River Mountains Loop Trail.  The River Mountains Loop Trail is intended solely for walking, biking and in some places horseback riding.  The RMLT trailheads are primitive (usually no water, no bathrooms, etc).

bulletRailroad Pass Hotel & Casino Trailhead 2800 South Boulder Highway, Henderson, Nevada 89002,  (702) 294-5000. www.railroadpass.com

To find this trailhead take 93/95 south as if you were going to Boulder City, NV. 

Halfway between Boulder City and Henderson you will find the Railroad Pass Hotel and Casino.  Take the main entrance into the casino parking lot (traffic light).  Go to the back of the parking lot and find one of two possible driveways into the upper parking lot.  This parking lot is on the southeast side of the casino. 

At the back of this parking lot is the trailhead, with information kiosk and trashcan (no water or bathroom at this location).

bulletEquestrian Park Trailhead, Henderson –  1699 Equestrian Dr. (at Foothills Dr.), Henderson NV 89002.  Bathroom, water, animal water.

To find Equestrian Park Trailhead from Las Vegas take 515 to the Horizon Drive exit, at the top of the exit, turn left (east) on Horizon Drive and go maybe ten blocks to Boulder Highway, turn right (south) on Boulder Highway, go south one block to the next traffic light (Equestrian).  At the traffic light turn left (east) on Equestrian Drive and take it to the end of the street.  This is the trailhead.  The building is a bathroom.  Park in the dirt and enjoy the desert.

 Or as an alternate route take I-515 to Wagon Wheel off ramp, go east on Wagon Wheel until it dead ends at Foothills Drive, go left (north) until it stops at Equestrian Drive.  At the traffic light turn left (east) on Equestrian Drive and take it to the end of the street.  This is the trailhead.  The building is a bathroom.  Park in the dirt and enjoy the desert.

Pacifica Way Trailhead, Boulder City – 600 Pacifica Way, Boulder City , NV. Primitive. 

This trailhead is located in Boulder City NV.  Follow Highway 93 into Boulder City and follow the signs to Lake Mead National Recreation Area or to Hoover Dam.  On the east side of Boulder City, just as you leave town, you will find the intersection of Pacifica Way and Highway 93 (and Temple Rock Way is also at this intersection.)   Turn left on Pacifica Way and travel about 300-400 feet and look for a driveway on your left (towards Lake Mead). Turn at the driveway and follow it took the parking lot.  The information kiosk will show you how to take the trail into the Lake Mead Recreation Area or back up the hill to Boulder City.

bulletAlan Bible Visitor Center Trailhead (in the lower parking lot)  (702) 293-8990.  Bathrooms, water, displays, more at Alan Bible Visitor Center (upper parking lot)  Use www.Google.com and put "93 NV-166, Boulder City, Clark, Nevada 89005" to find the visitor center.

The Alan Bible Visitor Center is 4 miles northeast of Boulder City on U.S. 93 on the way to Hoover Dam at the intersection of Lakeshore Drive and US 93  (just before the Hacienda Hotel). 

This trailhead location is a joint trailhead with the River Mountains Loop Trail and the Historic Railroad Trail.  This trailhead is located in the Alan Bible Visitor's Center lower parking lot.

bullet Golda Way, Henderson – Golda Way intersects Lake Mead Parkway just east of Calico Ridge. (North side of Lake Mead Parkway.)   No trailhead has been built.  No parking.  No water.  No bathrooms.  We suggest you park in the dirt area on the south side of Lake Mead Parkway near the pedestrian, bike and equestrian tunnel.

The design for this trailhead has been completed. A construction date has not been set.
